APPEARANCE |
Ichigo favors close-fitting clothes, top and bottom. While in high school, he, of course, wore his school uniform to class everyday. Out of class, however, Ichigo has always favored tight fitting shirts with logos such as "Nice Vibe" and the like; typical teenaged Japanese clothing which seems somewhat exotic, even for tshirts and jeans in places like America. His hair is naturally orange, which earned him more than a few stares and comments back in Karakura, with being accused of bleaching it (thus, the title of the series), and more than once has gotten into fights over these particular comments. He pulls his brows down into a scowl, to see more serious and no nonesense, in startling contrast with his happy-go-lucky father. The scowl and frown are deceiving, however, because underneath it, Ichigo has a true heart of gold, and wants to help people, as was seen in the opening chapters of the manga. |
PERSONALITY |
Ichigo comes off as a no-nonsense kind of guy, snorting at whatever he thinks is serious. He also projects an extremely laid-back vibe, covering the fact that he was one of the top students in his highschool, and took his grades seriously (despite his rather...Unorthodox instructor). Everything on the surface seems pretty normal; except for the fact that, even before becoming a substitute shinigami, Ichigo could clearly see and talk to ghosts, something that was said to be weak in both his father and his sister Yuzu (though Karin can see them just as clearly as Ichigo). Ichigo is extremely loyal to his friends and family, despite the fact that they are so different, and won't hesitate for a moment to spring into action to save them if they're in trouble, no matter what they might have to say in the matter, nor their reasonings for denying his help. He's strong-willed in this sense, and rarely, if ever, admits defeat, preferring to fight on to the bitter end. |
SHINIGAMI / HOLLOW |
Ichigo became a shinigami when he first met Rukia, after finding her in his room and thinking she was a burglar. After she was badly injured, she attempted to try to transfer half of her powers to Ichigo, so he could defeat the hollow attacking his family. However, that backfired, and all of Rukia's power was transferred, because of Ichigo's own inner reitsu. |
